"Blinkbot" is a difficult 2D side-scrolling platformer game. You play as a youthful little robot (named Blinkbot) whose objective is to collect multiple shards of a shattered crystal that once provided eternal energy for his home planet. These shards are scattered around an alien planet, each being defended by a legendary guardian that Blinkbot must defeat.
The core mechanic of the game is the 'blink', which is the ability to teleport a short distance in any of the four cardinal directions (up, down, left, or right). 'Blinking' is the main method of navigating throughout levels, allowing Blinkbot to gain distance, teleport past obstacles, and even kill enemies. The player can only 'blink' once while airborne, but it will be refreshed when landing on the ground. 'Blinking' through an enemy will kill it, refreshing the 'blink' and allowing the player to use it again.
