The player learns the story of a husband and wife experiencing a variety of struggles between each other and themselves. The gameplay complements those experiences through indirect means. Each gameplay sequence is a variation on a struggle that the couple experienced, but it is played by means of a 3D-Platformer title.

The player will hear narration from Todd Bridges (Roots, That's My Boy, Diff'rent Strokes) and a musical score from David Housden (Thomas Was Alone, Volume, Q.U.B.E. 2) as they jump through various contextual obstacles.

"Take A Seat" will change the medium of how narrative games are viewed and interfaced with.

Tales From Off-Peak City is set in the same universe as both The Norwood Suite and Off-Peak, Cosmo D's previous games.

It's a hazy Sunday morning on the corner of July Avenue and Yam Street. Caetano Grosso, a former saxophone player and longtime pizza-maker, is just getting his pizza oven warmed up. Orders are trickling in, and he needs someone to help with the deliveries. You sense an opportunity, but unbeknownst to him, what you're really after is his old saxophone, and you're going to get it one way or another. Your pursuit will set off a chain of events across the neighborhood, taking you deep into the hidden worlds and private lives of the people living there.

Tales From Off-Peak City is a first-person adventure game series, all set on, around, and under a single street corner. Filled with memorable characters and the spaces they inhabit, the game provides an open-ended world full of secrets and hidden agendas. Building on the gameplay foundations of Off-Peak and The Norwood Suite, players will explore the streets and its surroundings, make pizzas, take photos, push buttons, open drawers they're not supposed to, and lose themselves inside the atmospheric musical score that integrates itself directly into the game world.

Volume 1: Caetano's Slice is the first game of many in the anthology of Tales. While each 'Volume' is its own self-contained story and experience, taken together, they build towards the larger over-arching narrative of what's really going on at the corner of July Avenue and Yam Street and what role you ultimately play in its fate.

A virtual pet that feeds on laughter, surprise and tears.
Bring Guppy out of its virtual fishbowl and into the real world, and feed it through a well-balanced diet of feels. Guppy will learn and evolve based on players' facial expressions and social interactions – the more faces it can scan, the better! Guppy can also recognize and respond to over 200 objects, building up knowledge as it interacts more and more with the physical world. Watch as Guppy takes stock of its newfound knowledge to evolve from a non-verbal AI to a unique creature with its own personality – but beware that sentience may lead to a full blown existential crisis!

This is an AR narrative that unfolds over three weeks of play and uses on-device object recognition and sentiment analysis, this means that no data is shared. The narrative tells the story of Tendar, a fictional company, and it's algorithm-Guppy-A neural network that you are teaching about human emotion. The narrative of the player's relationship to Guppy evolves over stages as Guppy first gains language, then becomes sentient, then learns how to recognize objects in the world, until Guppy (and Tendar's) relation to the player finally breaks down with Guppy's existential crisis, spiritual search and subsequent rebellion.

Many of the apps concepts and narrative are written to also help teach the player a little bit about how computer vision and neural networks work through extreme hyperbole.

This app was in development before ARCore launched, as such, it is one of the early ones to marry computer vision and AR.

In the late 1970s, the charismatic Isaac and Rebecca Walker lead the Collective Justice Mission. Labeled a radical cult by the US government, they relocate their followers to the jungles of South America and build Freedom Town. But relatives left behind in the US become worried: what exactly is going on at this compound in the jungle?

The Church in the Darkness combines unique, changing narrative with top-down action-infiltration gameplay in an open-ended environment. As Vic, an ex-law enforcement officer, you travel to South America to get into Freedom Town and check on your nephew, Alex. Play how you want - you can avoid detection completely, take on the guards using non-lethal methods, or kill anyone who gets in your way. But you'll have to live with the consequences of those choices.

The game stars Ellen McLain (best known as GLaDOS in Portal) and John Patrick Lowrie (the Sniper from Team Fortress 2) as the intense Rebecca and Isaac Walker. Soak up the story through the town PA system, where the preachers share their dogma and beliefs. Find documents and letters scattered around camp which clue you into the true nature of Freedom Town. Or talk to some of the friendly members of the group (voiced by Arif Kinchen and Rafeedah Keys) to find out why they agreed to move, and why now they're not sure they're safe.

Every playthrough offers unique gameplay scenarios and story elements, with different character personalities and a shifting narrative told through investigation and action. How dangerous are the Walkers? Who are your allies and enemies? How far will you go to uncover the truth and save these people?

Scientists love a good mystery

The Moonstone Equation is a single player puzzle/platform game about science and curiosity presented in a modern pixel art style. It's set in and around a remote hilltop research facility built specifically to investigate some mysterious inscriptions carved into pieces of moon rock found buried within the hillside. You guide our protagonist Alice as she arrives at the facility and starts to live and work with the various scientists, theorists and oddballs that already call the place home. The Moonstone equation draws its design inspiration from games like Fez, Monument Valley, The Talos Principle and Ico. There are the obvious puzzles and a reasonable route for those that want something approachable and then there are the layers and layers of other rewarding little details for those that enjoy looking under and into everything.

The player is free to explore and investigate a world full of puzzles as they like, discovering (and shaping) the narrative as they go in a game world that changes and responds to when (and how often) you choose to play.

If it's night where you are, then it's night at the facility. If you don't play for a few days (or weeks) then expect the people at the facility to notice. You don't have to get up at midnight or play on a specific day just to solve things, but you might discover something interesting if you do.

With very little threat and no 'enemies'. It's the perfect game for those inquisitive people who enjoy a good puzzle and the time and space to crack it.

The architect Martin Melanson, commissioned to build a theater, meets a woman named Clara, outside of his apartment complex at night. Attracted to each other, they visit the theater's building site.
While they explore the unfinished stage, surrounded by scaffolds and lost in thoughts, reality slowly fades, where the curtain opens and a dark play about closeness and separation begins.

The game's drawn-out, static nature, embedded in blurred PS1 visuals, supports its surreal plot and dialogues to create a dreamlike 40 - 50 minute experience, that should be played in one sitting.

In classical god game fashion, Tidal Tribe gives you the power to shape the terrain. Raise and lower the land to protect your villages from waves and floods, all while using that very same water to build lakes and rivers, turning the desert land into a lively forest of trees and bushes.

And these trees are the key to your success: provide enough plants of all the different types to allow your people to satisfy their needs and make their village prosper. Oh, and make sure the paths to those trees don't pass around a dozen lakes and mountains and stuff. There's no point in having all these plantations if it takes ages to reach them. But if you're not busy building, you can also just relax. Watch what kind of shenanigans your people are up too. Depending on the terrain you provide and their society stats, they may even start building factories. Or become criminals. Maybe wage war. Or just burn everything down again in a revolution.

"until biglight" is an exploratory mouse-punk visual novel. linked is a Windows demo for the game about 2/3rds of the way through the main questline.

interested in exploring the aesthetics of 90's console games, specifically the PSX, i set out to create a piece revolving around a community of mice living under a tree, and the history of their world. honing in on it, a very human element began to emerge, and as my own life began taking some sharp turns, i wanted to craft a story that explores the harm of capitalist systems, the uncontrollable march of progress for a select few, and the dangers wrought from an oligarchy bending political agendas to their will. alongside this, i wanted to reach into the more minute, specific issues some deal with on a day-to-day basis within this miasma of cruelty: power abuse by landlords, multi-level marketing schemes, disregard of agency for the sake of your superiors, destruction of the significance of a group's cultural heritage, and what it means to try and rise up against a machine which is built to swat you back down immediately.

in all of this, you play as a mouse forced to ask your neighbors for help to pay your rent, or face eviction by sunrise. as you poke and prod amongst the denizens of this small haven, a conspiracy begins to unravel, and you find yourself in the center of what may be the beginning of an uprising that can save mousekind from the iron paw of Fat Cats Inc: the most powerful monopoly in the Mousedom, funneling chedda into the purses of those in power to bend lawmaking to suit their own needs. their goal: subsume all of mousekind in their quest for compliance and profit.

"until biglight" is poised to release in full late 2019/early 2020 on PC and Mac.

Uprooted is a 2D platformer that forces the player to sacrifice their abilities in order to progress through the world. As a fully POC team completely new to game development, it was important to us to draw from our own experiences and those of our parents to inform our gameplay mechanic—ability loss. This mechanic informs our chosen themes of assimilation and sacrifice common to immigrant narratives, evoking a sense of loss and displacement. With each sacrifice of an ability, the player's experience of traversing the world is further complicated. Previously easily accessible terrain becomes much harder to get to, symbolizing the uphill battle many immigrants must face in doing even simple tasks in an unfamiliar country.
