Description

Jaybird and the Captain's Ghost is the story of 13 year old, Jaybird Jones, a black boy from the south side of Chicago, who can see ghosts after his brothers are murdered. In an effort to escape from the violence plaguing their neighborhood, his family moves to the deep south. But their new home is infested by the ghost of the slave owner who built the house before the civil war.
