All puzzles can be solved with logic, experimentation and creative thinking, sometimes aided by pencil and paper or a search engine. Solving a puzzle usually requires two steps: discovering which rules are in place, then using these rules to write the clue. Rules don't change nor rely on timing, so relax and take your time!
Puzzle type could be seen as similar to a puzzle hunt, albeit very interactive! Thus a puzzle hunt veteran may be able to finish the game in no less than 3 hours, but everyone else would be better grabbing a friend and spending a few puzzling evenings together, playing Puzzle Type.
