In Crest you take the role of a god who guides humanity by issuing commandments in a procedural and dynamic world. The game is centered on expression; to build your own legacy. There is no end state except losing and no explicit goals but to build a religion one finds compelling.

However, the followers have their own free will and there will always be wiggle room where they can reinterpret and even ask the player for favours. Think of it as the relationship between a child and their parent. This is a game where the player shapes the development of a civilisation with indirect means.
