Identity Crisis

Identity Crisis is an interactive narrative set between the pages of a young woman's journal. This 2D platformer makes use of mixed media to create journal pages with the words and images on the page representing the levels and platforms that the player engages with. The story follows Shaahidah - or Shay, as she prefers to be called - as she deals with different aspects of her identity as an American Muslim of Indian descent, in a world that pits those concepts against each other.
