Here's Your Change

Here's Your Change is a video game that follows the experience of a cashier at a liquor store and simulates working at the register by ringing up and talking to customers. As the game progresses, the world around the player changes as gentrification takes place, displacing regular customers and bringing new unsettling situations. Gradually the customers, your store, and items change to cater and reflect the newer, more affluent population as what was familiar gets pushed out. With this video game, we want our players to experience how gentrification causes the displacement of low income communities.
