Hero Generations

Hero Generations is "The 5-minute Civilization." It has been described as the offspring of Sid Meier's Civilization, Jason Rohrer's Passage, and The Legend of Zelda. Each step you take is 1 year of your hero's life. Your hero has a limited lifespan, and before you die you must quest across the procedurally generated world to become famous while also finding a mate, settling down, and having a child. After your life ends, you continue on adventuring as your child. Depending upon how you lived and nurtured the world, your child will either be more fit or hobbled by your poor decisions.

Hero Generations is a deeply personal design inspired by the real life experiences of creator Scott Brodie. It was selected as an IndieCade Finalist and was successfully funded on Kickstarter earlier this year. It is currently in open Beta and planned for final release in the first half of 2015.
