Please Knock on My Door

Please Knock on My Door is a game about depression, loneliness and phobia. The player will get to walk in the shoes of a person suffering from these issues, and try to get through one in-game week in the main character's life. The player is tasked with upholding his everyday routine, including tasks such as going to work, interacting with colleagues, preparing dinner and keeping a good sleep schedule. The player is free to experiment, and the game doesn't follow a linear path. Every choice the player makes will affect which events occur throughout the game.

A social commentary is a work of art which takes a contemporary human issue and brings its essence into a medium of choice. The medium can for example be writing, illustrations, films or games. By using games to explore such complicated issues we can possibly understand more of what it means to be alive in our current society. Through games we might even be able to offer players the ability to explore these issues in a way other mediums have yet to achieve.
