Splinter

Splinter breaks new ground in gaming by embedding an original film into the surfaces of the game's 3D objects. The player explores a gritty, surreal warehouse while watching out-of-sequence videos to piece together the film's story. The film follows a transhumanist hacker collective living in the warehouse, and a feckless youth named Mason who gets caught in its pull. Advancing on mechanics introduced by games like Her Story and Gone Home, Splinter combines elements of gaming and cinema in a brand new way.
