A 2D poetic experience of a mysterious character treading their way through a lifeless, ominous landscape. But with the help of a special lantern and friendly fireflies to light the way, they can reveal a beautiful world underneath that they utilize to make their way through the darkness and bring life back into their world.
Although the game's concept changed many times, we knew from the start that we wanted to create a poetic experience. Our primary goal was to use beautiful visuals and audio to get a powerful emotional response from players. Since it was very hard for us to find an artist to make all the assets we required, most of the art in this game is generated procedurally by the custom student-created engine at load time.
