PipeWords: a game about plumbing and words. Lots and lots of words! Plumbing too.

In this game, you'll solve a factory's plumbing problem with the power of words, or rather, "pipewords"! Build a path of pipewords from the faucet to the drain. You need to move fast, because each letter of your pipewords will steadily fill up with water, and you don't want the water flow to get stopped (trust me!). Make sure to plan your pipeword paths carefully to find secrets and collect treasure! And if that's not enough, tricks, traps, and timebombs (eep!) will conspire and confound your progress. For everyone, but especially fans of wilder puzzle and word games!

Project Green Beat is an indie game currently in development which focuses on combining strong visuals with high energy rhythm.

Inspired by the demoscene, Project Green Beat's innovative gameplay and unique levels merge stunning visuals with high energy rhythms. It is a fully immersive experience where the music inspires the visuals and drives the flow of motion - while the effects feed back into the music and add to the overall immersion.

Project Green Beat focuses on rewarding player creativity by allowing numerous ways to play, allowing the player to experiment while their skill progresses. Bonuses are given for numerous skills including hitting targets on a ricochet, hits with proximity mines, and for shooting on-beat. Bonuses stack, so players naturally gravitate to more difficult and rewarding maneuvers. Something interesting that emerges is that the music helps you predict what is coming next, pulling you into a zone where your fingers seem to take over, reacting faster than you normally expect to be possible.

Project Green Beat features a single player mode with story as well as an online challenge mode, allowing players test their skills against players all over the world in synchronous multiplayer challenges.

"Protein Pirates!" is unique in it's game play in that you play as a self aware virus taking over a human body. That's right, with only the will to propagate , the pirates will stop at nothing to claim the body as their own. As the newly appointed captain to the Protein Pirates the player will embark on a voyage across 7 different organs to lead their pirates to victory. Battling through the bodies defenses and other foreign attackers, you must reclaim bio-technology that has been stolen from you while also automating functions of your virus. While functions of the virus start off at a micro level of control and involvement, the game will gradually move towards macro level play.

In 2012 we won grand prize in an international game jam called "The Indie Speed Run" with a 48-hour version of "Protein Pirates!" The game has drastically changed since then and grown in scope and size. For contrast, the original can be viewed on Newgrounds as well as Gamejolt.

PuzzleStones is a color-based puzzle game with 2 fundamental differences. The game is easy to pick up and play but, thanks to the removal of the luck element (which is prevalent in the genre), it is a hard one to master.

The player matches vertical or horizontal lines of 3 or more pieces, but gaps made up of different colored pieces, can exist between each instances. The more pieces in the match, and the fewer the number of gaps, the higher its score will be. As such there are lots of possible matches, but to do well the player has to build better value matches through a series of moves, rather than just reacting to how the game has refilled the grid.

This is done through controlling the grid refills - as there is no gravity. After making a match the game slides along the remaining pieces in the direction that the player used when making the match - be it up, down, to the left or to the right. This way the player can control where pieces end up and build better matches themselves. Experienced players can regularly construct 8 pieces in a row using advanced techniques.

The game contains many modes, some work on a completely different basis - such as hitting specific colored targets on the grid with matches of that color. And there is a rich, fully fleshed out multiplayer mode as well.

Currently available for Nokia phones and coming soon to Android, PC and more.

Quadradius is an intricate and competitive game of skill, chance, bluffing, devastation, and strategy. It is a turn-based board game played by 1 to 6 people on a three dimensional grid. The goal is to eliminate all of your opponent's pieces from the arena. This can be accomplished by jumping on their pieces and smashing them one by one.

But this would get boring quite quickly, so to put a bionic twist on things, each piece can collect Power Orbs scattered throughout the arena. These orbs contain one of over 30 versatile powers that can be unleashed to attack, defend, foil your opponent's plans, or combined together for even greater devastating effects. Dubbed "3D Space Checkers on Crack" by the community, Quadradius will have you amazed at the rewarding victories, fumbling losses, and the wondrous complexities you continue to unravel.

Reus is a 2D PC god/simulation game in which you use four giants to shape a planet and its nature. After basic terraforming you puzzle together ecosystems with plants, animals and minerals to help grow human civilization with several resources. You fully control nature, but you don't control humanity. Your goal is to strategically create a balance between nature and civilization. Reus is played in games from 30 to 120 minutes. The emerging worlds are largely determined by your own strategy, but mankind's greed is always there for a twist.

Reus is Abbey Games' debut and is inspired by mythical giants, harmony in nature, and the ever-destructive greed of humanity. Our goal was to reinterpret the god game to feed its hungry audience and to evolve the genre. While god games are usually about displays of power, Reus is not. Smiting is certainly present, but power should be trivial to a god. Therefore, Reus is a game that requires thought, insight and balance to create a harmonious world, in which war is not a goal, but simply a habit of ignorant mankind that has to be dealt with. Rather than a campaign mode Reus generates new experiences on the same world through changes in human character. Reus uses unlock progression to become deeper, more challenging and more expressive after each time you play.

Richard & Alice is a point-and-click adventure - a mystery/thriller/drama/insert-genre-here story, which we released in 2013.

Set in a frozen future world, Richard & Alice tells the tale of two prisoners forced together via unusual circumstances. As they exchange their stories, we catch a glimpse of the devastated world outside, and come to understand the lengths people will go to in order to survive.

It's an extremely narrative-driven game; we've gone for a relatively sparse approach to puzzles. Our logic was that the puzzles should serve to further the plot, rather than provide a hurdle to experiencing it. Delightfully, people seemed to like it - the game received lots of praise in the press for its slow-burning interactive storytelling and its handling of difficult themes.

Richard & Alice is the first in a series of 'let's tell some cool interactive stories' at Owl Cave, and we hope you enjoy it.
