Final Gambit

Final Gambit challenges players to bot the actions of characters so that they autonomously perform well in a battle arena. Players are able to bot their party of characters using the in-game, drop down menu driven, "gambit script" system or by using a real programming language. Final Gambit's battle arena is balanced and has just enough mechanics to create the space for a solid metagame. The battle arena is also simple to approach, inspired by the battle systems of classic RPGs, it should be a welcoming familiar (possibly nostalgic) gameplay for players; which just so happens to start them off on the journey of getting good at algorithm development. I'm a teacher, I teach people programming; Final Gambit is essentially all about me wanting to make the most welcoming, wonderful and epic journey for my programming students.
