An Outcry is a text-heavy, narrative-based horror game built in RPG Maker about the worsening political landscape of modern-day Europe, bystander apathy, and the importance of intersectionality.
The player takes control of a non-binary person referred to as "the Unnamed", a shut-in living in modern-day Austria who gets locked out of their apartment. Smoking a cigarette in the complex's courtyard, they hear a piercingly loud, horrifying noise, and need to decide whether to FOLLOW IT, or IGNORE IT. Depending on the player's choice, one of two starkly different routes plays out, as a flock of perturbing talking birds swarms the country...
