We wanted to wrap it in a fun, edgy IP that would stand out on all platforms as unique. In exploring concepts for the IP, we landed on having outlandish phobias that are all locked up deep inside the surreal and fleeting landscape of your mind. In Phobies, you collect and upgrade your fears and then watch them come to life when you bring them into battle. Having tactical maps brings a significant additional layer of strategy to the CCG market. Our approach to unit design is to have every Phobie have a valid place in the strategy and tactics of the game, and with 130 Phobies, and over 50 abilities the strategies you can achieve are endless which creates unlimited replayability.
