Solve puzzles and wander your way across the iris, and through the life of the famed Impressionist painter. Although about Monet, The Master's Pupil is not a direct biography. No language, written or spoken, describes the man or his life. Instead the game is an intricate experience of puzzles, soundscapes and score, all in a world hand-painted with real paint on real paper.
The One Who Struggles is a game about fighting a single multi-phase boss fight. As if it is a final boss without being attached to a full game. The player has multiple weapons with multiple types of attacks that they can switch between freely. This game was originally made and released in 2021 while I was out of work. The Utility Room is a linear 6DOF VR Journey across a surreal 'behind the scenes' world, a barren and rocky landscape inhabitated my megalithic stone heads. The player traverses the world after getting trapped. They are trespassing. It features minor gameplay elements and environmental storytelling. A pervading sense of megalophobia and fear of the unknown runs through the game. It is frightening and tense, but not like a traditional horror game.
The journey ends with the player encountering the overseer known as Bin Man or the Cosmic Caretaker, a spherical anthropomorphic head who plummets the player into a montage of experimental VR environments that reprimand the player for causing trouble.
